Introduction:
Rural Services Foundation, a sister concern of Rahimafrooz Company established RSF Model School & College (Presently Rural Services Foundation Granada Academy) in 2008 in a calm, quiet and green village named Kaludam of Sajahanpur Upazila under Bogura district to make underprivileged children as worthy citizen and build them future leaders by imparting quality education. It is a 'not for profit' institution under Rural Services Foundation and financed by Centre for Zakat Management (CZM). The area of the land is 11 bighas. High School Section is residential and Primary section is non-residential. Earlier Primary section was residential. There are an academic building, a hostel building and a dining hall. It has also a play ground. Rural Services Foundation Granada Academy is registered with Divisional Deputy Director's Office of Primary Education for running Primary section and for running High School Section Rural Services Foundation Granada Academy is registered with Ministry of Education.

The vision of Rural Services Foundation Granada Academy is to develop well rounded, confident and responsible individuals who aspire to achieve their full potential. Rural Services Foundation Granda Academy is doing this by providing a welcoming, happy, safe, and supportive learning environment in which every child is equal and all achievements are celebrated. Rural Services Foundation Granda Academy strives to prepare all students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens ready to meet the challenges of the future. In partnership with families and community, our goal is to create relevant learning opportunities for students both inside and outside the classroom that help them develop the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and strong moral character necessary to succeed in a technologically advanced world.

The mission of Rural Services Foundation Granada Academy is to empower students to acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value knowledge and skills that will support them as life-long learners. To inculcate the moral and ethical values to participate in and contribute to the society and practise the core values of the school: respect, tolerance & inclusion, and excellence.

5. OBJECTIVES:
a) The students will be provided education based on the use of modern, interactive teaching methods designed by a panel of experts following the national curriculum.
b) The students of High School will be provided residential facilities including medical and health support and particular focus will be on preventative health care such as immunization, health training, eye checks, and dental care.
c) The students will be provided education on faith-based values & ethics by customizing modern & Islamic education in compliance with Government Curriculum.
d) The students will be motivated on the inspiration of liberation war, patriotism and national unity.
e) To educate all students to the highest levels of academic achievement, to enable them to reach and expand their potential, and to prepare them to become productive, responsible, ethical, creative and compassionate members of society.
f) To provide a decent and hygienic academic environment, life skills, games and recreation to the children.
g) To provide exceptional care to children while fostering each child's intellectual, social, physical, mental and moral development in an academically rich environment.
h) To prepare and motivate students for a rapidly changing world by instilling in them critical thinking skills, a global perspective, and a respect for core values of honesty, loyalty, perseverance, and compassion.
i) To promote religious tolerance and cultural equality by instilling the ethical and moral values and teachings of Islam.

6. PATTERN OF THE SCHOOL
Primary Section from Nursery to Class V is non-residential and High School Section is a cadet pattern residential school from class VI to class X for underprivileged students. The school follows English version under National Curricula and equal emphasis is given on the Arabic language. The school is financed and administered by the Center for Zakat Management (CZM).
7. MAJOR COMPONENTS OF THE SCHOOL
a) Academics:
The school is based on the use of modern, interactive teaching methods designed by a panel of experts. Students are studying here up to SSC level and those who are doing well in school are getting support for further education. Others will get training in different vocational trades, be placed in apprenticeships and otherwise prepared for economic independence.
b) Curriculum:
The school follows the curriculum of Bangladesh Text Book Board in English version. English and Arabic Language Program are being provided within the school. High moral standard and academic excellence are being ensured.
c) Health Care:
Students get healthcare support by doctors and paramedics. It also takes assistance from local non-govt. and government healthcare facilities. The medical staff provides health education to the students. Students are provided adequate sports and recreational facilities.
d) Skill & Business Development:
After completion of basic education (JSC) students who will not be academically fit for further studies will be assessed and enrolled in appropriate vocational training programs.
8. MANAGEMENT OF THE SCHOOL
a) Rural Services Foundation (RSF) is to sponsor in the development activities of the school whereas Center for Zakat Management (CZM) provides management support for operations. CZM and RSF are agreed to collaborate to promote education, healthcare services and other welfare activities for the orphans and distressed children and their families.
b) Rural Services Foundation Granada Academy is a school under constant supervision of a Principal/Administrator. Principal is responsible for doing all necessary tasks including curriculum development, course designing, conducting class lessons, examinations and so on. The Principal is assisted by teachers and support staff in discharging the duties and responsibilities. A teacher works full time with residential facilities for working as Hostel Superintendent as well.
c) To facilitate proper services to the beneficiaries separate code of conduct may be developed and practiced within the campus in addition to the educational rules and regulations.
09. SCHOOL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
A School Management Committee has been administering the school as per separate/independent constitutional provisions. The school complies with government policy guidelines that have been followed in all aspects. The committee is comprised of 09 (nine) members. The tenure of the School Management Committee is two years.
